Published by Chappell & Co in May 1958, Bert Weedon’s ‘Play In A Day’ was an indispensable tutor for any budding guitarist. On page one, he described the two types of guitar in common use; if you kept reading, stuck at it and worked those fingers hard, by page 36 you’d be able to play Fmin7 and D# augmented.
